Adjoining hands to brace ourselves,

Its time to end war,poverty & hate,
Hoping one day we can all join together as one before its too late.
We need a helping hand to lead the way,
Instead people only fend for themselves & stray.
Stand up,fight,be strong,
It's never too late to right all those wrongs.

But if we all stick together we can at least give it a try.

Today is the day GOD took you away,

Wasn't it too soon?Why couldn't you stay?

I know I shouldn't question it, but it hurts so bad,

Living life everyday trying not to be so sad.

Your kids are well and missing you too,

Why do people continue to knock others down to lift themselves up?!?

There is something that REALLY gets under my skin so i decided to voice my opinion on the subject,but i will keep it brief. So as African Americans we STILL haven't entered a place in our lives where we can support and lift each other up. I can't understand the reason why the Lee's, Spike and Malcolm, feel they are so high on a pedestal that they can knock other blacks down just for trying to build their dreams. Everyone has a different way of looking at life, i can guarantee my perception of you is not how you perceive yourself. Just because he feels others are not making the kind of movies he would or going about making movies the way he would gives him the right to criticize them? I don't want to make a huge fuss about it, but why not support and help each other succeed? There are so many great thing that can be accomplished in your life if you just let go of all the hate in your heart and just help the next man, especially when the height of your career is over just to stay relevant. There is enough room at the top for you all. Maybe it's because Spike is kinda falling off the scene,i don't know, but i truly can't understand how we got to this unforsaken place we are today...

janet for black history month?

ok so obviously Janet has more than one meaningful song on this album to pick from to use as my song for this month,so i just decided to go with the whole RN1814 album for black history month. so much has changed since this was released & alot more has changed since she was young. this world is just a mess & if more people would care enough to make a change we would be a little bit better slowly but surely. i just feel like this album represents this month & martin luther king jr.'s message so well. this may not be important to you but this album is still VERY important to me at this moment. the message she was trying to get across with this will hopefully help youngsters coming up in this jacked up society as it has already helped so many before them...

Lost love

Why does it seem like im tricking myself? Everyone keeps constantly telling me that everything is going to be ok, you will be alright. But in reality they know that this is false. i try to move on and not remain stuck in the past, but it is very difficult when you feel your heart ripped out of your chest and you can hardly breathe. life gives you a bunch of obstacles, some to teach you a lesson and make you a better person. but others are just to see how you will react or to see how much can you handle, basically testing your faith. Losing love is not a good thing, but its better to have love and loss than to never have loved at all i guess. My heart aches everyday at the thought of never seeing you again. i regret taking you for advantage thinking that you will always be around.
