Today is the day GOD took you away,
Wasn't it too soon?Why couldn't you stay?
I know I shouldn't question it, but it hurts so bad,
Living life everyday trying not to be so sad.
I miss you more than words can say,
I'll never forget the last dance you got me ready for that May.
I thought we'd have forever, I thought it would last,
Now I guess those thoughts are simply a thing of the past.
Your kids are well and missing you too,
Help me on the days when they are sad, I don't know what to do.
Just promise me that we will meet again,
I need my role model, I miss my friend.
Lord give me the strength to keep moving on,
Please take away this heartache I'm feeling this morn.
